Ship on the open web. Still earn the trust an app store gives you.

Aether is the verification and distribution layer for installable web apps and AI agents. Prove your origin, pass an automated trust scan, and get discovered with a Capability Passport that tells users exactly what your product can access and do — without waiting on a review queue to ship an update.

Free to submit. Verification is automated and re-runs on every release.

How listing works

01

Submit your app or agent

Give us the start URL, what it does, what data it touches, and — for agents — an Agent Trust Manifest declaring every tool.

02

Prove the origin is yours

A DNS TXT record or a same-origin well-known file. Nothing publishes on an unproven domain.

03

Pass the preflight scan

Installability, security headers, permission surface, and live agent probes. Every failure comes back with a reason code and a one-line fix.

04

Get listed with a passport

Your listing shows a signed trust report, a Capability Passport, and guided install for iOS, Android and desktop. Re-checked continuously.

Signed trust reports

Every scan produces a signed, independently re-verifiable report. Anyone can check the signature.

Badges & checks

Live agent probes

Agent scorecards come from real requests against the agent origin — served manifest, tool endpoints, stop path.

Trust standard

Published in the open

The platform trust manifest and transparency report are downloadable, versioned documents.

Common questions

Is Aether an app store?

No. Your app stays on your own origin and you ship whenever you want. Aether verifies the origin, checks the release, and gives users a readable record of what the app can do.

What do you check for AI agents?

Agents must publish an Agent Trust Manifest declaring autonomy class and every tool. During each scan we fetch the manifest the agent actually serves, compare it against what was declared, probe declared tool endpoints, and confirm the documented stop path answers. Only autonomy classes A0 to A2 are eligible for the public catalog.

Do you show install counts or ratings?

Only signals we can verify. Installs are counted from a real browser install event, never a click, and sample listings are labelled as samples and never ranked.

What happens if an app changes after review?

Continuous monitoring detects material drift and re-runs the scan. Reviewers can warn, stop new installs, quarantine, or de-list, and every action is recorded in the public transparency report.

Get your listing live

Bring a start URL and a domain you control. The preflight report tells you precisely what to fix before you publish — no opaque rejections, no waiting on a human queue for routine releases.
