Eligibility is a hard precondition: an ineligible listing is never ranked above an eligible one, whatever its other signals. Among eligible listings the organic score is aether-rank/0.1:
- Trust health · 0.35 — current attestation, scan score, freshness, incident history. No commercial input.
- Task relevance · 0.25 — match against approved structured fields only.
- Outcome quality · 0.25 — verified install to activation, shrunk toward the category prior until the sample is large enough.
- Recency · 0.15 — rewards maintained releases, capped so it cannot carry a weak listing.
Sponsored placement, when it exists, is drawn only from eligible listings, is labelled, and never changes trust, eligibility, or the organic score. Publishers can appeal a factual ranking input from the publisher portal.
